Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been missing from the silver screen for a long time.

While there have been several stories about she making a comeback to film, there is no confirmation yet. And with her absence from the film front, it seems like journalists don't have much to ask her per se.

Recently there have been stories that Aishwarya shouted at a journalist at a press conference. Nevertheless it seems that too much is being read about the incident. The question posed to Aishwarya was that several senior actresses are being offered item numbers today over full-length roles. The reference was clearly towards Madhuri Dixit who performed on the item song 'Ghagra' alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

And with constant speculations that Aishwarya might be featuring in an item song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' the question might have been posed to Aishwarya. However with Aishwarya not doing the item number anymore (it has now landed in Priyanka Chopra's kitty), all that she could retort is that 'the question should be posed to those senior actresses and not her'.

We hope Aishwarya strikes back soon and in something bigger than an item number.
